Welcome To My CornerALL ABOUT ME My name is April Cornett, and I'm excited that this will be my second year at Beaver Lake Middle School! I earned a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Learning and Behavior Disorders from Morehead State University. I've taught for 12 years in Kentucky, Georgia, and Washington. Our family relocated to Sammamish in April 2017 from Atlanta, GA. We have three sons: William (16), Samuel (15), and Mitchell (11). We enjoy football, golf, baseball, basketball, camping, visiting the beach, and exploring state and national parks. I look forward to greeting my returning students and families, as well as meeting the new ones. It's going to be a fabulous 2018-2019. Remember BE KIND and MISTAKES ARE PROOF THAT YOU ARE TRYING! Portfolios are used to gauge student progress throughout the year. Assignments: All assignments must be submitted by the given due date and are due at the beginning of the class period unless otherwise stated. All homework is due the next day unless otherwise stated. Late Assignments/Missed Work: Any assignments not received on or before the due date are considered late. In order to receive credit for any missed assignments, students must have an excusable absence, tardy, or early dismissal. It is the student’s responsibility to check with the teacher regarding any late/missed assignments and their due date. |
